Stephen Garcia, or The Bad DM (@The_BadDM), originally got involved in gaming through miniature painting and still paints on occasion. He loves to create, lift others up, and celebrate the creativity and freedom that ttrpg's bring people. He has been an always DM for 4 years and loves it. His name, The Bad DM, comes from a reminder to himself that the anxiety and fear he felt that being perceived as "bad," which kept him from gaming and ttrpgs for years, was a lie and really the only kind of bad gamer is one who excludes and pushes people out of the space. He loves nothing more than bringing new people into gaming and helping them overcome that same fear of being perceived as "bad".
Stephen is the Dungeon Master, creator, and producer of the D&D 5E Actual Play podcast Faeforge Academy. You can also find him GM'ing on other shows such as the Not Quite Heroes Podcast, Tabletop Galaxy and as one of the co-hosts of Anime Attache.
